During the 2007-2008 academic year, faculty at Boise State were engaged in an initiative called Learning for Life. This faculty-led initiative hosted a series of discussions which examined the state of the liberal arts at Boise State. Out of those discussions emerged a set of recommendations and a final report, which was received and endorsed by President Kustra. One of the recommendations was that the university consider changes to our core curriculum. In January 2009, a task force convened by the provost and the faculty senate began exploring options for revision of our core. Documentation of their work can be found at the Learning for Life Wiki.
