Interested in Facilitating an Active Learning at Lunch?
Active Learning at Lunch are hour-long sessions in which faculty engage colleagues for approximately 30-45 minutes, with the remaining time used for discussion. The presentations can take many forms, from formal presentations to modeling some activity one does in class with students. The focus can be on pedagogical strategies, assessment ideas, or evolving thinking about how to teach certain kinds of subject matter. One does not need to feel one is an “expert” to be a presenter. Active Learning at Lunch is an opportunity to share ideas across disciplines and to highlight what we’re trying – and what is working and what is still challenging.
