Brian joined Instructional Design and Educational Assessment in March 2014 after a 6-year stint as an Instructional Designer at University of Phoenix, where he developed engaging learning experiences for students and staff. Brian’s areas of academic interest include mobile learning, flipped and hybrid classrooms, virtual and augmented reality, e-Portfolios, and video production. He’ll work closely with you to come up with innovative solutions to meet your academic needs.
Brian earned his Bachelors degree in Graphic Communications from Clemson University and his Masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology from California State University-Chico. His journeys in life have taken him to some interesting places, from educating kids about animals at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago to educating prison staff about rehabilitation programs for inmates at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. When he’s not writing about himself in the third person, Brian likes to go camping with his wife, hit up all of the National Parks, bike along the back country roads of Boise, run his skinny legs off, practice playing the banjo (badly), grow vegetables in his backyard garden, and work on silly art and video projects with his kids.
