Individual Consultation

The Center for Teaching and Learning provides a wide range of confidential consultation services to individuals for developmental and formative purposes. Because these services are designed to complement one another, instructors are encouraged to use them in whatever combination will help them meet their teaching goals.

These services are available to anyone who teaches Boise State University students. This includes tenured and tenure-track faculty, full and part-time instructors, and graduate student TAs.

All consultations are confidential and for the development of the instructor. Consultations are not related to promotion, tenure, or performance review. To schedule one of these services, contact the CTL

Syllabus or Course Design

Course design happens each time instructors have the opportunity to teach a new course. Course redesign is an iterative process that occurs each time we teach a previously designed course. A CTL consultant can assist instructors at any stage of course design/redesign including, but not limited to, selection of goals, creation of intentional assessments, design of meaningful assignments, and decisions related to when or how to use technology in the course.
